Interested in starting your own apiary? Already have a few honey bee colonies and are looking to sharpen your knowledge on how to prepare them for Montana's winter? Come join us on Thursday, October 22nd at 5:30 pm to learn and discuss the ins and outs of what it takes to overwinter a honey bee colony. We'll discuss a range of topics, including how to ensure your colony is healthy enough to make it through winter; providing food, ventilation and insulation, and different overwintering methods in northern climates. If you have a bee suit, please bring it with you! We will be standing near active colonies. We do have a few suits to lend out!"
