Loading Bulk Materials

  • Gardenwerks is happy to load our bulk material into an open bed truck or trailer.

  • For your safety and ours, please remain in your vehicle while we’re loading.

  • You’re welcome to bring buckets or trash bins to fill, or shovel our bulk material into the back of a car or a truck with a topper.

  • We are unable to load during extremely wet weather, but otherwise come by anytime during business hours for our bulk materials.

  • ALL PRICES LISTED ARE BY THE CUBIC YARD PICKED UP AT GARDENWERKS

Composted wood products used as an amendment to improve the texture of the soil. Oftentimes used in conjunction with compost or manure.

Benefits of Mulching

Mulching provides many benefits to a garden, both functional and aesthetic. Proper use of mulch can help to conserve water by reducing soil temperature and limiting wind exposure. Others include: weed suppression, preventing soil compaction and improving the health of the soil.


Road Mix

Mix of 3/4” gravel and clay to create a hard packed material for driveways and roads.

3/4” Crushed Rock

Sand

Truck Capacities

Weight is often the limiting factor when transporting bulk materials, not volume. The following is typical, but we recommend checking your vehicle/trailer for weight specifications.

Small (Tacoma, etc.) .25 CY gravel, .5 CY soil, 1 CY mulch

Mid (F150, etc.) .5 cy gravel, 1 cy soil, 1.5 mulch

Large (F250, etc.) 1+ cy gravel, 2+ cy soil, 2.5 mulch
